The asset manager, American Century Investments, has entered into a licensing agreement with the New York Stock Exchange to support launches of certain types of exchange-traded funds. 

Subject to regulatory approval, the NYSE Actively Managed Solution will allow American Century to deliver its actively-managed investment strategies in an ETF vehicle, without the daily holdings disclosure requirement of fully-transparent ETFs, it said in a statement.

"We believe semi-transparent active ETFs represent the next frontier in ETF investing," Edward Rosenberg, senior vice president and head of ETFs for American Century said. 

The funds will be incorporated into American Century's suite of ETFs, such as the American Century Diversified Corporate Bond ETF, American Century Quality Diversified International ETF and American Century STOXX® US Quality Growth ETF.
